Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
I am deeply honored to introduce myself as the new Interim Principal of John B. Devalles Elementary. First and foremost, I want to extend my warmest greetings to each and every member of this vibrant school community. My extended family is from New Bedford and I have a deep sense of pride for the rich history and culturally diversity that exists in our city. From the moment I walked through the doors of this historic building, I felt a sense of belonging and a deep appreciation for the dedication and passion for teaching that define Devalles Elementary. It is clear to me that this is a place where learning is cherished, creativity is nurtured, and every student is valued.
My commitment to this school is driven by a deep belief that every child is capable of learning and achieving at high levels. I am eager to work alongside our committed teachers, staff, and families to create an environment where every student feels inspired to reach their full potential. My goal is to support our students’ academic growth, foster their curiosity, and build a strong sense of belonging where everyone feels accepted, valued, and included.
In the coming weeks, I look forward to getting to know each of you better—students, parents, and staff. I am excited to learn about your experiences, hear your ideas, and work together to continue the tradition of excellence at Devalles Elementary. I believe that through collaboration, open communication, and shared goals, we can continue to achieve great things.
